Parties & Room Hire
Above the cafe is our Blue Room which is used to host workshops and parties. However, it is also available for private hire. We can cater to your specific needs whether it be a child’s birthday, a Baby Shower, afternoon Hen Tea Party or a business/conference meeting place.
Business/Conference Meeting Room.
The Blue Room is available for hire for a business meeting or conference. The large central table area comfortably seats twelve. Should you wish we are able to provide light refreshments, lunch or afternoon tea for delegates.
A children’s party ‘Me & Mrs. Fisher’ style consists of the private use of our Blue Room for a minimum of 6 and a maximum of 12 school age children. The children participate in a workshop and can choose from either:
- Jewellery Making (recommended age 5-12+ years)
- Sewn Creature Creations (recommended age 5-9 years)
- Bag making ages (recommended age 7-12+ years)
Following the workshop Afternoon Tea will be served on our vintage china and cake stands. The tea will consist of a range of finger sandwiches, pizza, a selection of crudites and dip, followed by traditional jelly and ice-cream served in pretty china tea cups, and then by a tier of cup-cakes for the birthday guests to share.
We are also able to provide a personalised birthday cake, at an additional cost, with prices starting at £20. The birthday cake may be inspired/linked to a preferred/chosen theme of the party, should you wish. Candles will also be supplied. Music is also available during the party tea and the ‘Happy Birthday’ song played for guests to sing along to when the cake is presented.
It should also be noted that most special dietary requirements can also be accommodated.
Saturdays are particularly popular so please book in advance. However, we are able to host parties after school. The cost is £20 per child with £50 deposit required to secure your booking with the balance payable on the day of the party.
Baby Showers can be held in our Blue Room or in the main cafe, depending on the number of guests. We will decorate the room accordingly with baby shower memorabilia. However, should you wish, it is also possible to personalise the decorations with, for example, a baby banner embroidered with names/dates etc, though this would obviously incur an additional cost and would also need to be ordered in plenty of time. Equally, it is possible for samples of personalised baby goods to be on display, which can then be ordered as wished.
We are also able to cater for a variety of your Hen Party requirements. This could simply be afternoon tea at £15 per person or, can include a craft workshop for £30 per person, inclusive of all materials. For Hen Parties we require a minimum of 6 people and our craft room holds a maximum of 12. However, for a larger party it may be possible to use the cafe as it comfortably seats up to 26 guests.

We require a £50 deposit to secure your booking with the balance payable on the day.

For bespoke or larger parties please ask us about private hire of the whole cafe.
For larger groups there is an option to host your party exclusively in the main cafe downstairs. For this we require a minimum of 10 people. Afternoon tea is £15 per person, afternoon tea plus one of the craft workshops is £30 per person.
